The Cottonwood Lodge
is located in Gustavus, a small coastal community, approximately 50 air miles
west of Juneau, Alaska. This remote city within the Tongass National
Forrest is bordered by the waters of Icy Strait and Glacier Bay National Park &
Reserve. The excitement of climbing aboard a bush plane and flying over this
wilderness or seeing it from the deck of a charter boat will leave the visitor
with a lifetime of memories.

The cabins are situated on ten wooded acres among spruce, pine, and cottonwood trees,
along with a variety of wild flowers and berry bushes. The meadow on this property is a
perfect habitat for moose of which there are almost daily sightings. Each cabin has been
built to ensure the guest privacy as they enjoy their own little spot in the woods.

At the Cottonwood Lodge we offer the Alaska traveler, lodging
in a secluded setting to use as base camp for exploring and experiencing the last frontier. In
Gustavus there are backcountry trails to hike, the sandy shoreline of Icy Strait to
beachcomb or maybe explore the town on a bike. We can help arrange charter
fishing trips, sea kayaking, and tours into our biggest attraction Glacier Bay National
Park.
